Problems Listening?

Most common problems and suggestions

Make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime (it's free!) currently as of this writing V5.02

You must install the "Full" version to see all of the content on this site.

Skipping - Skipping is usually caused by poor phoneline, net integrity or slow data speeds (version 5 almost never skips!)

Many times simply redialing will switch you to a better line.

If AudioEmissary 56k skips, try AudioEmissary 28 (20k), if this still has problems your connections are probably poor.

Corrupted cache files: Sometimes web data is garbled as it is delivered to your computer, which then attempts to utilize it, causing strange behavior and crashing. Either clear the browser cache (check your browser prefs under "cache") or restart the system. This is more common than people know...

Quicktime Settings

PC users and users behind routers and firewalls: Click on "Auto Configure" in the "streaming transport panel" in the quicktime "preferences" panel , this will configure your ports properly.

Check your quicktime connection speed (in the quicktime preferences) make sure it matches your modems capability (and actual speed)

Apple Modem users can check actual speed by opening "remote access" strip after dialup

Why does it take 20 sec for CD cover to come up? even if I have a broadband / dsl connection ?

The video part of our webcast is currently optimized for phone lines (85-90% of the world) so response is the same on all lines 40k and up.
